Enjoys one of the first days of spring in Leura, visit the Sublime Point Lookout and then wander around the town and have lunch at a local coffee shop.

UMINA BEACH
Enjoy the drive up to the Central Coast. Visit the Ettalong lookout and have lunch at a local club.

Wednesday 18th full Day
BOWRAL TULIP FESTIVAL
Annual Trip down to Bowral Tulip Festival (Entry fee $7 concession). Lunch will be at a local coffee shop.

Wednesday 25th Full Day
STANWELL PARK
A very scenic drive through the Royal National Park to Stanwell Tops. Lunch at Tradies in Helensburgh.

PAPER DAISY DISPLAY MT ANNAN
Visit the Botanic Gardens and enjoy the wonderful display of wild Western Australian paper daisies. Lunch will be at Campbelltown RSL.

Thursday 11am  –  Gentle Yoga Class. Free.

Another general yoga class, Yoga in the Cross, is run by Zac, one of our volunteers on the Thursday Book Stalls. Zac’s yoga class will cover many of the aspects of Hatha Yoga.
Macleay Room, Saturday 10.00am to 11:00am for $10.

SHOPPING

We have two shopping services to help you.

Our Centre has a weekly list shopping service for those who are frail, elderly or disabled. The service (cost $4) enables people to remain in their own home and be independent. For this service please ring the Centre on Wednesday morning for delivery Thursdays.

We also have our Shopping Service Bus (for frail, aged and disabled customers). Shoppers leave the Centre at 10am (arrangements can be made to pick up those unable to come to the Centre). They are driven to the shopping centre and then home with their groceries. (Cost $4.) Our bus goes every Tuesday, alternating between Eastgate Bondi Junction and Marrickville Metro. FEELING CREATIVE?

There is a beaded jewellery creation class being held upstairs in the Rex Centre on the second Saturday of each month. The cost is $85 for the full course but this includes all materials and tools.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT

Creative Movement Class, Monday 2pm-3:30pm at the Rex Centre. Cost $3.

MEDITATION

A reminder about this class upstairs. Based around the concept of “Heartfulness Meditation”, it offers a way to connect to inner stillness and peace and to bring balance to your outlook and help develop better relationships in your personal and professional life. Classes are free (15 years and older). Wednesday 12.30pm to 1.30pm in the Macleay Room.

SWEAT is another group organised in partnership with the Heart Foundation which is promoting more social walks to various locations in the wider Sydney area. At the moment SWEAT is fully subscribed and no additional members can be accommodated. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please see Katherine at the Centre.

CENTRE UPDATE

This year under the Club Grants scheme the Community Centre received a total of $8,300 in donations. These funds have been donated to us to be used to fund the maintenance and upkeep of our Community Bus.
